Alav Hasholom

As we all have by now heard, EG41 was waived by the Timberwolves today. Goodnight, Troubled Griffin. May you be picked up by the Chicago Bulls and lead them to playoff glory (CRAZY-CHANDLER FOR A BUDGET PRICE).

All-star Kevin Garnett called his release unfortunate. "E.G.'s my guy," Garnett said. "I had the pleasure of being around him, sitting here (next to him in the locker room), and getting to know him a little better than some of the guys in here. In this case, I hope not only that he makes somebody else's roster but that he continues to play basketball.

Also, Terry Stotts can burn in hell...

this game is great and all, but i want to take a moment out to share my favorite eddie griffin memory.

after the break in 2002, arenas and eddie griffin both ended up on my fantasy team. i'd been kind of waiting for arenas to do something, so that was cool to see in stat-form every night. but almost as thrilling was these totally nonsensical lines griffin would come with, like 15 points on 5 three's, with 7 blocks. and nothing else!!!!!!

he was one of the originators. may he find peace in this next life of his.

PAGING ROCCO CHAPPELLE FOR SOME T.R.O.E.G. MIGHT.

Is it possible that Nash sees the future?

Clearly, I've been flipping between the game and LOST.

i was trying to make a post about this, but don't have it in me. maybe some other day. for now, this thought: the suns treat the end of games just like another run. they don't buckle down or get all deliberate; if it's close and they happen to heat up late in the fourth, they just ride that out and hope that can beat the clock.

that said, i don't think this happens all that often. i.e. their tendency to lose all close games.

Dallas is a team of boneheads. Josh Howard being the biggest bonehead out of all of them. With Stackhouse and Jason Terry not far behind. Avery is an incredible coach. D'Antoni is an awful coach who is riding Steve Nash's coattails. If Avery Johnson were coaching the Suns they would win the finals easy.

If Avery were coaching the Suns, they would be worse than the Lakers. They need a coach willing to put the ball in Nash's hands and let him do whatever the fuck he feels like with it. The Nash-General power struggles would be fun to watch though.

Eddie Griffin suffers from anachronism. He'd be perfect for the NBA of the 1980's.

If some team gives him a shot he can be this year's Tim Thomas and ink a big contract next season.

I have no question about Eddie's talent. It's just going to take the right coach to get through to him.

As thin as the Laker front line is right now a marriage of Jax and Griffin would be good for both of them.

Shoutout to Leon Smith.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Griffin can't play in the playoffs since he was released so late in the season, right?

Maybe i'm wrong about Avery leading the Suns to a title. But cmon, you have to admit he'd be better at substitutions and using the bench than D'Antoni is. D'Antoni also sucks at using timeouts. And Dallas is indeed a team of boneheads. Just look at last years playoffs. Stackhouse and Terry get suspended for keygames for stupidly attacking other players. Josh Howard calls a timeout like a moron. And the year before, Terry just lets Nash shoot the three, which is okay i understand some players choose to let the guy shoot the three instead of making freetrhows. But when Dirk, your best player and supposed leader, is yelling in your ear to foul him you do it. Boneheads.
