Happy Imus-Lacrosse-JackieRobinson Day

File this one under "blogging" and don't forget to read today's finest work.

And I'd like to thank ESPN for posting this amazingly ridiculous Onion-esque piece above. Using the Don Imus story as a lead-in, ESPN has created this flash-animated timeline of randomly important moments in Black History since Jackie Robinson (everything from Alvin Ailey to Don Haskins' UTEP team). In the words of Jason Whitlock, "Thank You, Don Imus. You extended Black History Month to April."

If I am to interpret the timeline correctly, Jackie Robinson, leads to-> Malcolm X, leads to-> Miles Davis in the 70s (Brown Recluse Esq suggested perhaps even Miles Davis in the 80s), leads to-> Martin Luther King Jr.

And then later on Vanessa Williams appears. Thanks.
