"Arenas is notorious for not hanging out. His big plan last weekend was to see "X-Men" a second time."
Forgot about that factoid (there are so, so many). If I were a girl in middleschool I'd probably waste a lot of time writing "Mrs. Gilby Arenas" on my pee-chees.
i've actually spent a good deal of time trying to figure out arenas's desire to see X3 a second time. absolutely terrible movie, an effront to anyone who ever cherished the comics back when, exactly the opposite of "wow, they put dark phoenix on the big screen!!" effect that you can sometimes count on from the longtime faithful.
it's worthless as a movie, worthless as a nod to youth's diversions, not even funny bad. ordinary to the point of utter annihilation. and yet the NBA's most colorful character goes out of his way--nay, risks arrest--to go see it twice.

If they don't just drop the charges against him, I hope GA's attorney annihilates this cop in a deposition (which they allow in criminal cases in Florida). It sucks when "good guy" professional athletes are dragged into the spotlight like this, but it would be cool--if the case doesn't go away--if Arenas actually used this as a forum to speak out for the people (read: esp. young men of color) who are victimized by police but don't have his stature.

Shoals's speculation is too ambitious, basically.

You know I thought X-Men 3 was an abomination as well but if #0 went to see it twice, I may have to rethink the way I look at bad movies.
Wilbon called Dan Le Batard his alleged friend.
That was weird.
I love Mike Wilbon in the most platonic way. I just want to be near him
