It was bound to happen at some point. Although the final version of
FreeDarko Presents: The Undisputed Guide to Pro Basketball History
doesn't even exist yet, it can now be pre-ordered on
Amazon. I don't want it to look like we're trying to get you to buy anything blind. So here's my pitch: If you liked the
Almanac, enjoy the prospect of NBA history, and are interested in writing that digs in a little deeper this time around, you'll enjoy Book #2.
exciting.
ReplyDeleteGreat news! I can't wait to read and dissect it.
ReplyDeleteI hope it's good.
ReplyDeleteNo info on the Amazon page, so I have to ask: art by Big Baby?
ReplyDeleteYes, of course.
ReplyDeleteExcited to read another hoop book -- here's hoping it will wash out the vile aftertaste of Bill Simmons' book.
ReplyDeleteYou guys approach this with a particular thesis or lens, or are you just digging up oddities from hoops history?
Pretty much the same lens as always—actually, if it makes any sense, there's more of the blog in this one than in the last. But as with #1, the emphasis is on ideas, not just facts no one's ever heard. Besides, Simmons took a bunch of those already.
ReplyDeleteYay, yay.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever get a chance to read this? What is the final line on it? Thanks!
