SAS Watch, Day 3: Killin' it!!!

Day three of Quite Frankly, and my hopes are back up through the sky. For those of you that missed it, the subject was NFL holdouts; guests were Heinz Ward, some agent, and some "sports attorney." Stephen A. really is fearless, and it rubs off on others. He will not let an ounce of bullshit into that studio, and it emboldens his guests to not fuck around, say what they feel like they really meant it, and actually have an honest conversation. Everyone's the better off for it, and Stephen A. really is much, much more than just the players' journalist. This is Outside the Lines with the gloves off, everything that the other shouting shows wish they could be (though, to be fair, PTI is a screwball buddy flick and Around the Horn an ensemble comedy about journalism).

Plus you can see him just itching to let loose about the Association. He'll make the season at least 1000 times more interesting than it would have been already.

Tomorrow's interview with Larry Brown should be essential viewing. And would someone please send me a link to the Iverson show? I'm beginning to worry that it might even topple the KG/John Thompson encounter, and I still haven't seen it yet!!

ok, fuck...i'm gonna miss the LB interview. if someone tapes this for me, i will find a way to get the AI joint. as a minnesotan, nothing can compare to the thompson/KG joint in terms of emotional potency, but in terms of entertainment, it may have surpassed anything.

things that need to happen:

kg on quite frankly
kobe on quite frankly
lebron on quite frankly
randy moss on quite frankly

I like the title "Fuck You with Stephen A. Smith"

where can I get the Iverson "Practice" soliloquy in its entirety

Can we get SAS to join
"RealSports"? James Brown and Bryant Gumbel insert something about chocolate covered peppermints here

Stephen A. is a good interviewer and I'm psyched to see guys open up on his show.

but...he needs to get off the ESPN NBA halftime show, cause he just doesn't know what he's talking about as far as game analysis, and his loud style often drowns out Greg Anthony- who actually does know what he's talking about.

did you just compare me to greg anthony?!?!

depends on if you find anthony credible or not. i was more saying that i'm really shrill, out for blood when it comes to the politics, culture, and style of the league, and dimly informed about what actually goes on "on this basketball court." you understand the game much better than i do and should probably shut me up whenever I try to talk x's and o's. it's the dynamic i'm interested in, which could either involve anthony himself or some hypothetical commentator that fits the bill better than you (might) think anthony does.
