Ok, Ok

Maybe Euro on Euro hoops isn't so bad after all. Check out this mega-block from the God vs. Yisrael, and props received from KRS-TIC afterwards. Windows Media Player required.

i don't know, that was still pretty tentative, limp, uninspired, reasonable. . .

right after they add the distance shooting contest to all-star weekend, they need to get together a shot blocking contest. who wouldn't want to see just how far into the stands k-mart can swat the ball? or it could be like the dunk contest, judged on style. . .seriously, the block is mad underrated as a rustling shoe of magic

uninspired? reasonable? were we watching the same GAME??? i still like michael smith's suggestion for all-star weekend: add a one-on-one display, but make it really weird matchups like mugsy bogues vs. mark eaton.

and to take this waaaaaay off topic, doesnt SAS's impending shaq interview just set the stage for a long awaited SAS+MJAir23 INTERVIEW!!!!

from darko, i expect sheer grandiosity or nothing. i guess i would've been wowed by that block had it been delivered by the barnacled hand of mark eaton, but from darko. . .

or it might be that euros always look confused to me, no matter what they're doing or how determined they seem to be to do it. a sort of eyes-crossed, hair wiggling, nose in a circle kind of thing. it is i who must adjust.

I like when Darko elbows his teammate in the face while flexing.

"A clean swat is probably the most satisfying play in hoops."

I disagree. A great pass is the most satisfying play. Or, at least, a great pass that leads to a score. On the other hand, a great pass that leads to a failed finish is perhaps the most frustrating play in basketball. Sometimes teammates suck.

The more I watch this swat, the less impressed I am by it.

i think we're all in agreement (except maybe THC) that the block is pretty weak. the important thing about the clip is the flex afterwards, as it shows how dumb and immature darko is.
