Serbia is real

Some of you have requested commentary on the European Championship currently being played in Belgrade. Y'all should know by now that the Masters of the Klondike love Euros, but Euros playing other Euros isn't nearly as funny as Euros trying to navigate the foreign terrain of the National Basketball Association. As Shoals said to me, seeing Euros playing other Euros in Europe is like seeing Hasidic Jews in Israel. It's whatever. But, the situation with the Serbian national team is some shit. Apparently, after losing to France 74-71, fingers were pointed, and punches were thrown. According to the Associated Press, Marko Jaric and Igor Rakocevic threw down, as did Vladimir Radmanovic and Dejan Tomasevic. I'm guessing it's not an accident that there was one NBA Euro and one Euro Euro in each fight. Has the American me-first attitude rubbed off on the NBA guys, or were the Euros just hating? Based on the coach's comments, it sounds like he thinks it's the former.

The players had bad personal relations, their egos led to this shameful end. My mistake was not throwing three or four of them off the team. They hate each other so much that they don't even look at each other. I've never seen such people before.

Taken from a poster names Zarko46 on the Minnesota Timberwolves Message Board. I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP. ZARKO46!:

"Serbia is eliminated from chance 2 win European tournament because 2 top PG were hating each other guts , one (igor rakocevic) was kick of timberwolves as not good enough, and one (Marko Jaric) was paid big bucks for contract from timberwolves...
cruscial moments in the end of the game , Jaric shoot from impossiblle position and missed rather than pass the ball to open Rakocevic..
they were hating each other whole tournament but escalate in last game and with fight in the locker room...
they don't care about litlle kids crying in the streets of belgrade after huge favourite Serbia get kicked in first round..."
