Moving image bedlam

I'm not even sure if I like Jordan in total, but I really can't fuck with the way he played nine games into his pro career. Yes, I caught this link off of Soulstrut, and yes, you might want to peep some of the other thirty MJ gems dude has up on YouTube.

It's almost like the crowd, the rest of the players, and the announcers have absolutely no idea what he's doing. Or are in denial. "Captain Marvel!?!??!!"

Jordan's myth is so great that even I, as a diehard fan can forget how amazing a player he was. No where the imposition of will been so beautiful as Jordan's desire for success/greatness.

FD to the core.

proof that i've lost a step: i'd had a link to the cover of the the death of captain marveil, which i believe came out that same year. but then i was too lazy to fully work out the metaphor, either in my head or in type, so i left it out.

actually, that might've been for the best. i don't think that jordan's quite hard enough to get cast as DEATH when it comes to the evolution of fancy, floating back basketball stylists. iverson from jordan makes a little more sense.

Jordan is one of the HARDEST. The difference is, he isn't hard in the street gangster sense. If anything, Jordan's gangster is more of the old mafioso mold. Dude is a tyrant who terrorized opponents and teammates alike.
Since his retirement, tales of his off-court dickery abound. There was a funny piece that ran in Washington City paper about Jordan and his crew strong-arming the author for his table and DATE at a DC restaurant.

"I'm not even sure if I like Jordan in total"

elaborate please.

i meant hard in the historical sense. do we really think of jordan as a destroyer of all that came before? maybe in that very early phase, but IN TOTAL he's the culmination of basketball on earth. every aspect of the game's evolution and ideals rolled into one being.

that's kind of what bores me.

Young MJ was a work of art. He was Dr. J with more quickness and a jumper. did you notice how many outside shots he hit?

he looks more like t-mac than kobe. which might explain why my worship of t-mac is visceral, kobe-jocking principled and formal.

As great as Jordan and Kobe are, T-Mac is the only player who looks truly unstoppable to me. It's as if his every mis-step is fated and the defense inconsequential.

G-Hand, T-Mac only makes the game look easier. The GOAT and Momba have the appearance of playing harder when they are unstoppable, T-Mac is coma lacidasical when he dominates.

that's what makes hova's constant jordan comparisons sound silly. though it's also weird that he once claimed to "bang like t-mac," which has all the wrong connotations for mcgrady

And people say he didn't have a jumper!?!?!?! What were they smoking?

F'real, please be back Amare.

T-Mac's great...when he plays. When his back's acting up, he's terrible.
