Storky Partners
Hi, welcome back, Shoals. If you live in Los Angeles, I'll be on ESPN Radio at 12:45.
Kindly observe my newest Sporting News column, which is about playoff anti-heroes. If you felt my previous efforts were a little too straight-laced, this should come as a pleasant surprise.
Also, Obama on HBO tonight talking about his relationship with hoops. Expect a post later. I also want to do a "State of FreeDarko Heading into the Playoffs" monster before this weekend. I hope it happens.

enjoyed the Sporting News column a lot, although shortly after reading it I read this:
http://hardwoodparoxysm.blogspot.com/2008/04/and-if-we-dont-get-more-artest-this.html
and now feel you made an egregious omission from the list
I know I shouldn't carry on, but:
"That's the question: How much substance can you endow sports with?"
Can sport not equal art? Certainly, it can. Substance IS.
There's something strange going on in Washington...is it a Web 2.0 blogosphere self-awareness? Or something much more organic and awesome?
Definitely something to track during The Post Season.
Huh?
I'm all for role-players making themselves interesting, but Reggie Even's going for the sack of the ugliest man in the game? That's a bit to much 'personality' for me. Also, as a Suns fan, the Horry incident took me from, "I F-ing hate that guy," to, "If I had a few shots of tequila in me, I might literally stab him to death if I had the chance."
I'd like to throw another name into the mix, especially if Denver does end up with the 8th seed: Sasha Vujacic. The dude already got Melo to strangle him en route to an ejection earlier in the year.
i wish it was possible for denver to hit san antonio in the first round. that would be such a karmically satisfying series.
is the WA-DC web thing about the team? I love Deshawn.
is it too early to talk in hushed whispers about the wiz taking out both CLE and BOS on the way to the EastCo finals?
wv ldbrk: ladainian could dunk on a break
42 points in 42 minutes (with 13r/6a to boot).
KD's last game for Seattle? Let's hope not.
Oden better have a few 20/20 games in him next year...
Alright, I'll bite: Who killed the walrus? Was it Ron Artest?
