Yes, I'm watching the convention, but if you get bored, here's HBO's ABA doc in three parts. Also, I have to think about whether "post-rational" or "post-politics" is a more lasting contribution to the cable news canon.

I had a dream once where I turned Aurback in to the Gestapo only to find he'd managed to replace Himmler and traded him to the Japanese for the rights to Ghandi and an Andy Warhol.

and Larry Brown is finding solace in 9/11 being the architect of the US team's demise during his reign as coach -
"The thing is they got guys that are willing to make a three-year commitment, which I think is tremendous," Brown said of this current Team USA. "We had guys that committed (for 2004) and then all of a sudden 9/11 happened, and then there were injuries."

Did you like or dislike Craig Robinson's intro, where he talked about how Obama might be as president based on how he played basketball? Something about never backing down from a challenge, making his teammates better, and so on.

I talked about that anecdote in passing in yesterday's EDIAL. Carter described it as "watered-down FD."
