FD at University of Michigan
Strange but true. I will be giving a public lecture at the University of Michigan next Tuesday, as well as paying a visit to Yago Colas's "Cultures of Basketball" course. Hope to see you there!

I love, love, love, love that photograph. Saw it full-size at the Corcoran in DC when they had an Avedon exhibit a while back. It's even better in person.
Any chance this'll be broadcast via YouTube or podcasted live? Can't get to Michigan between now and next Tuesday, though now would be a good time to be completely free of responsibility so I could blow off stuff like work and get to driving right now.
Working to see what the options are for this, Benjamin.
I live in Detroit and would drive to Ann Arbor for this but it conflicts with my volunteer gig. So disappointed I have to miss it- I hope you can archive it!

Please do one of these in Philly. I know perhaps you don't totally control where you do these (yet), but it would be so well appreciated in a town like this, so serious about ball and with such a convoluted but great black history.

Giving the lecture is not an easy task to make,otherwise about the Cultures of Basketball course,you told,so this is an amazing thing,also the University of Michigan is a great organization and the students there have great sort of ability and the capability too,so giving the lecture there is a great pleasure and great feeling too.
