In keeping with the New Redemption theme of this upcoming season. I'm sure all of you remember
(any chance McCants takes to the court in AF1's?)
And I would like to offically cast a vote for "fuck training camp." The various roster upheavals aren't news to me, position battles barely exist in the NBA (they get their minutes regardless of who starts), and all that shit we spent the off-season breathlessly speculating about—chemistry issues, commitment, intangibles awakened, coaching philosophies—isn't going to get resolved in the least until the real thing gets underway. About all that happens in training camp/the pre-season are injures. And the Comissioner's office announcing the suspensions for summer gun charges, which historically, is always a good sign for a star on the rise.
Then again, the Rockets' new starting five might cause a natural disaster well before the season opener.

not to sound the sneaker alarm, but are those air force's he's wearing? i remember thinking they were when i saw the initial, larger image--nay, being certain of it--but they really don't look like they are in this smaller version
whatever, the point is that he's wearing lows while KG is rocking his basketball-ready clompers
not to comment on myself like i'm not commenting on myself, hence looking like one of those people who writes comments on his own blog just so he can feel what it's like to have readers. . . but i want to show, warts and all, how much and how little i actually know about the league, players, history, shoes, etc. if it were perfect, accurate, and not talking out of its ass half the time, it wouldn't be freedarko.
correction: it wouldn't be bethlehem shoals. everyone else is pretty constantly on point.
